The Old Woking Community Centre is run by a registered charity "Old Woking and District Community Centre" Charity number 1164738

Would you like to volunteer

in your local community?

This wonderful community centre is run by a fantastic team of volunteers who carry out basic maintenence, office work, booking and manage the accounts etc.

If you have ideas of how you would  like us to improve, why not offer to join our small happy band who meet every eight weeks to work out how to keep this building spick and span and perfect for all of you out there. Please contact the office using the links on the left or pop in and discuss with us your ideas.

South Woking Help at Hand (along with all of Woking's local neighbourhood schemes) support local people with lifts, friendship and other things. Could you spare a few hours a month to help those less able to get out on their own?

More information on their website

Could you help with the youth group? Meeting twice a month, we need ideas and energy for what is a very rewarding use of your spare time.

Could you help mentor new computer users in our weekly Tuesday drop in Computer Centre or be a helper in our local Library  here in the Centre on a Tuesday?

A polite notice.

It is a sad state of affairs when we feel the need to place such a notice on our website. But, in today's modern world where there is less and less respect for others shown by a small but vocal minority, we need to make a statement about any anti-social behaviour directed towards those who work at this Community Centre.

Foul and abusive language or threatening behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave the premises or the police will be called.

The Computer Centre and the Library are open on Tuesdays from 9:30am until 12pm during the school terms.
