Library, IT Suite & internet cafe

Welcome to the  Library

 

The library is currently closed due to Covid 19 restrictions. We hope to reopen in the near future. Please contact us if you might be able to help occasionally in our librury when we reopen. 

 

Our local branch of Woking LIBRARY has all the lending facilities found in the main library --- you can reserve books, you can collect books from here, you can return books here. We are normally open every Tuesday morning (during the school term) from 9:30am until 12pm.

Book Swap

Bring in your old books and swap them with a fresh book you've not yet read.  Free service to anyone in the local community.

Book Sale

We have a selection of books available for sale, great for those holiday breaks.  Feel free to come in and have a browse.

Kids' Corner

Our children’s area has safe but fun seating and boxes of the latest and the all-time favourite children’s picture books where mums and dads can sit and read too.

 

Jigsaw Club 

We have a FREE jigsaw club where you can borrow jigsaws from or you can stay in the warm and dry doing a jigsaw with a nice cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit. 

 

Anyone is welcome and you don't have to be a SCC Library member to use this facility.

 

 

FREE use of our computers

If the IT teaching assistants are not available, you are still very welcome to use one of our computers. 

A cuppa and a chat

We also invite anyone who just wishes to pop in for a cuppa and a chat. We have lovely facilities for our visitors. You don’t have to be a member to come in and enjoy the comfortable seating whilst having a tea or coffee and optional biscuit!

 

As you can see --- all our facilities listed above are FREE.

 

Our lovely friendly community library and IT Suite & Internet Cafe are open every Tuesday from 9:30am-12pm durinmg the school terms. 

 

Why not come over and browse our books or use our computers (often with expert help)?

 

 

 

Books are supplied by Surrey County Council and your Library card is all that is needed for book loans.

 

 

The library and the computer centre are run by local volunteers and supported free of charge by the Old Woking Community Centre.
